How to play Picture Logic 3D

Solve numeral puzzles in 3D and create beautiful pictures

Picture Logic 3D is the long-awaited sequel to the popular game Picture Logic Color. This time you need to uncover hidden figures in three dimensions. The game gives you hints in the form of numbers that tell you everything you need to know. It's never necessary to guess, but sometimes you have to think really hard. The game is easy to learn but hard to let go. If you are in doubt about something after playing the training levels, read this guide carefully.

Rules

To uncover the hidden figure, follow the simple rules of the game. Each number shows how many boxes in the row or column are part of the hidden figure. At normal numbers, the boxes will be placed in a coherent group. If the number is in a circle, it means that the boxes must be divided into exactly two groups. If the number is in a square, it means that the boxes must be divided into three or more groups. Boxes that are part of the figure must be marked, while boxes that are not included in the figure must be removed. Once you have selected all the correct boxes, and removed the wrong ones, the figure will be colored and revealed.

There are 3 levels of difficulty:

Green levels: Normal

Yellow levels: Hard

Red levels: Expert

Marking

When playing you have two tools available: brush and hammer. With the brush you can mark the boxes that are included in the hidden figure, while the hammer is used to remove the boxes that are not included in the figure. The active tool is displayed at the bottom right, and you can swap the two tools by tapping their icon, or by pressing the space bar. If you use a mouse to play with, the active tool is on the left mouse button, while the other tool can be used with the right mouse button. With a mouse you also have the option to select or remove several boxes at once, with the tool you have on the right mouse button. Just drag the mouse along the boxes you want to select or remove while holding down the right button.

Level construction

By building your own levels in Picture Logic 3D, they will be playable by all your friends, and everyone can see and vote for them in the Hot or Not section. When you build levels, you have more tools available than when you play, but as always, the active tool is shown at the bottom right. With the box you place boxes and with the hammer you remove boxes. In addition, you can change the color of the boxes you place using the palette, and you can tap the sticker at the top to put stickers on the boxes. If you change tools for the brush, you can change the color of boxes you have already placed. Saving the level will take some time as the game tries to calculate a good solution for it. As more people play your level, its solution will be improved. If one of your levels is selected for release, it will have a thumbs-up selection. If you subsequently edit the level, this selection will disappear (as the level is no longer identical to the one selected for publication).

Large levels

When playing a large level, you cannot see the boxes in the middle of the level without help. To access them, use the two diamond cutters - drag them to hide parts of the level so you can only see the parts you need. Remember to drag them back to their starting point when you need to see the entire level again. Another help for large levels is the button at the bottom left that removes all boxes with a zero on. You can always start by removing them, and with this button you have a shortcut to do it quickly.

Hot or Not

Here you can vote on which levels you would like to see released later. The game selects four random levels and lets you vote on the one you want to play. If one of the levels has offensive, offensive or inappropriate content, you can press "!" to report it

Settings

In the game's pause menu you can change various settings:

GEAR: Turn calculation of new solutions on and off. Once this is turned on, you will help improve the levels you play by calculating solutions with fewer numbers. Unless the game is running poorly, we recommend that you leave this on.

3D 2D: Turn 3D view of the levels on and off. When you have completed a level, the finished figure appears in the book. Reviewing books is a bit faster if you turn off 3D viewing of the levels.

LANGUAGE: You can choose between Danish, English, French, Dutch and German.

TRAINING: If you want to replay the training levels, you can press this button.

SOUND AND MUSIC: The game's music and sound effects can be turned on and off.

Tokens

You get tokens to complete levels. Each level has a hidden difficulty level between 1 and 200, and it determines how many tokens you get. The color of the level - that is, green, yellow or red, gives you an idea of the level of difficulty it has.

Took me a while to master the controls but now find this game both enjoyable and at least one that challenges your little grey cells as Poirot would say

  • Tricky to master

At first I didn't like this game, but the more I played the easier it got, a tip for new users do plenty of ''easy'' levels at first and then it all starts to make sense. Love the puzzle builder but just wish we could see regular NEW books each week for us to solve.
