Sudoku is a logical game, where you have to place different digits on the board. You have to place the digits in a way that makes sure that each row, each column and each square contains each digit once. This means that there MUST NOT be any repetitions either horizontally, vertically or in a block.

You have the possibility to play Sudoku on many different difficulty levels. Even though you become really good at it, there will still be a Sudoku that is even more challenging.
You can choose between 3 different sizes, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4. 2x2 is only for beginners, until they have learned to play the game. On the other hand, 3x3 and 4x4 can be a real challenge.

There are several different techniques which you can use when playing Sudoku. It is important to solve the Sudoku correctly, because each Sudoku only has one correct solution.
A newly generated Sudoku game contains a number of digits on some starting positions, and by using them it should be possible to derive one or several other digits, which can again help you to derive more digits. Here are a few tips.
Each digit has to be used once in each row, column and square. By using the exclusion method, you can often only place one digit in one specific place. For example, in this Sudoku you can only place a 7 in the square in the middle. By looking at the 7s in the squares around, we can exclude the fields with the red x and conclude that the 7 can only be one place.
Another technique suggests that you find an empty place where all digits from 1 - 9 but one can be excluded. In the following Sudoku, we can use this method in the blue field and conclude, that 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 9 are used in the same row, column or square, which means that only the digit 8 can be placed there.
In some cases, you cannot directly see where a digit has to be, but you know in which row it has to be used. You can use this information when using the exclusion method. In the following Sudoku, we cannot se where the 1 has to be (in the two squares in the middle column), but we can see that the 1 has to be in the top row in the left square.
We can use that fact for further exclusions, and we can thus place the 1 in the blue field.
