2-4 players can play Snakes & Ladders in different levels.
It is the aim of the game to get your mouse to square 100 before your adversaries get there. The player who gets to square 100 first wins the game, and the game is over. While you are on your way, you have to try not to touch the snakes, because you will fall down on the board if you do so. The ladders are positive and can quickly help you to get in a leading position.

When the game starts, each player gets a mouse in a specific colour, and up to 4 powerups. A random player starts the game, and the players then take turns. When it is your turn, you have to think about what to do in your turn. If you have some powerups, you have 2 possibilities. Either you can use a powerup, or you can spin the "dice". If you wish to use a powerup, you have to do so before you spin the dice.

| There are many different powerups in the game, which you can use to your own advantage or to slow down your adversaries. All power-ups have to be used before you throw the dice, and you can only use one powerup in each round. Below, you can see an overview of the different powerups and their functions. |
Extra turn
Use this powerup to give yourself an extra turn in the same round. How? Click on that powerup first, and then on yourself. Tip: If you use this powwerup at a strategically clever time, it may save you from traps that your adversaries may have placed for you.
Double dice roll
Use this powerup on yourself so that the number you roll on the dice counts double. If you get a 4 you will move 8 squares, and so on. How? Click on this powerup first, and then on yourself. Tip: You can use this powerup to make sure that you don't end up on a trap or a snake that is an uneven number ahead of you.
Triple dice roll
Use this powerup on yourself to triple your dice roll in this round. If you get a 4 you will move 12 squares, and so on. How? Click on this powerup first, and then on yourself. Tip: You can use this powerup to make sure that you don't end up on a trap or a snake 1/2/4/5 etc. squares away from you.
Shield
Use this powerup to give yourself or an adversary a shield for at least one turn. As long as a player has a shield, it is not possible to use powerups on that player. How? Click on the powerup first and then on the player that you want to have the shield. Tip: If you use the shield on yourself, it will hold until your next turn. If you use it on an adversary, it will hold until his second turn. This means that you can prevent a player from using a powerup on himself as long as the shield is active. But it also holds a little longer.

Freeze mouse
Use this powerup to freeze an adversay so that this person cannot move for one round. How Click on the powerup first and then on the player you want to freeze. Tip: If you use this powerup on yourself, your turn stops immediately. A player who is frozen in ice cannot be hit by powerups and is therefore untouchable until his next round.

5 squares forward
Use this powerup to move yourself on an adversary 5 squares forward. How? Click on the powerup first and then on the player you want to move. Tip: You can use this powerup to move yourself to a ladder or a powerup, or maybe an adversary to a snake. When you use this powerup, the mouse will move 5 squares forward in normal ways. This means that the mouse may be stopped by a cheese.
5 squares back
Use this powerup to move an adversary or yourself 5 squares back. How? Click on the powerup first and then on the player you want to move. Tip: You can use this powerup to move yourself to a ladder or powerup, or maybe to move an adversary to a snake.
10 squares forward or back
Use this powerup to move a player either 10 squares forward or 10 squares back. It is decided randomly whether you are moved forward or back. How? Click on this powerup first and then on a player.
Switch place
Use this powerup to switch place with another player. The player can maximally be 40 squares away from you and may not be on the top row. How? Click on this powerup first, and then on the player you want to switch place with. It may be worth saving this powerup for a while, so that you get more out of it. However, you have to make sure that it does not become worthless all of a sudden because the distance to the other players becomes too big, or because they are on the top row.
Cheese
Use this powerup to put a cheese on the board. When a mouse is coming, it will automatically stop on that field, no matter how far it would have gone. How? Click on the powerup first and then on one of the free squares on the board. Tip: You can combine a cheese with +5/-5 powerups. You can stop an adversary, or yourself 5 squares ahead of a snake or a ladder.
Trap
Use this powerup to place a trap on the board. If a player stops on the trap, he will fall down to the row below. How? Click on this powerup and then on one of the free squares on the board. Tip: The placement of a trap is important as to how efficient it is. The closer it is to the stairs to the next row, the more squares will the player who lands on it be moved back.
